Received the Medic Alert Bracelet I ordered for my best
friend today, and wanted to let you know what a pleasure it
was to do business with you. I wish even half of the
companies I do business with were as prompt, courteous, and
reliable as you were. So, thanks again and just know
somebody noticed. Sincerely, Nina.

Exactly as
described, beautiful.
Good transaction fast shipping A+
Medic assist responded to my email inquiry within a
few hours. Although my needs required a knowledge of my state's
health department codes the woman with whom I spoke knew of the
regulations and was able to work with me to meet those specific
needs. Other companies that I contacted either did not respond to my
request for information or were unfamiliar with my state's rules.
One company simply referred me back to my local authorities. In fact
I received my identification from Medic Assist the same day I
received a reply to my inquiry to another company.
I would definitely recommend Medic assist and Alison
to anyone in need of medical identifications. Alison made, what was
a difficult process for me, a simple pleasure. Thanks to all the
staff.

**The
following correspondence has to do with Ohio's Legal
Protocol for Issuing a DNR (do not resuscitate order)**
I have a doctor's
order for DNR (do not resuscitate) comfort care only and
am looking for a bracelet. I have reviewed the Ohio
Department of Health's protocol for what must be on the
bracelet and would like to know if you are familiar with
those requirements and if you provide bracelets meeting
those criteria.
Thank you
Unfortunately we CANNOT engrave a bracelet
for you with all of the Ohio State
Requirements. We could engrave DNR on a
bracelet for you, but according to the Ohio
protocol the EMT’s and/or medical personnel
would NOT honor the request without the
“official” Ohio requirements.
First of all I
want to thank you for your honest response, and
secondly just for responding - as no other company
replied to my request. I also appreciate your
understanding of the Ohio requirements.
I have
considered two options and am wondering if your
company can assist with either:
1) a locket
that attaches to a woven, leather or similar type
wrist band. The locket would be about 1" x .5", and
would have the generic medic alert symbol with
something that says "open here" and inside I could
put in a typed form identical to the form
recommended by Ohio for hospital type bracelets.
2) a metal
bracelet with the generic medic alert symbol that is
imprinted with something like:
"DNR comfort
care
look in
wallet"
or
"DNR
see wallet"
The idea would
be that I would carry the Ohio DNR comfort care ID
card in my wallet and the bracelet would be to
inform the medic to look in my wallet.
You are the
experts so I would love to hear from you about
whether these or anything like them would work.
Thanks very much.
Thank you for your order and your patience and
understanding regarding “Ohio Protocol”. Your order
will be processed and shipped 4-22-08.
Just
wanted to let you know the bracelets arrived
today and the locket style #1024 can contain
the form prescribed by Ohio. Thanks for your
assistance.
By the
way today I heard from a competing company
who finally responded to my email the same
day I initially emailed you and they
actually said that they could write anything
I wanted on the bracelet including "DNR" but
seemed to have no knowledge of the Ohio
procedures.
Thanks
for knowing your business, I greatly
appreciated the opportunity to work with
you.
